James L. Krambeck
Executive Vice President & General Counsel
Mr. Krambeck, a Clinton native, is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Kirke Financial Services, L.L.C., Wild Rose Entertainment, L.L.C., and Prairie Oak Capital, L.L.C., and he is President and General Counsel of K Properties, L.L.C. In these positions, he oversees all legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, land development, gaming regulation, and human resources and employee benefits.
Most recently, Mr. Krambeck was a shareholder of Belin Lamson McCormick Zumbach Flynn, a Professional Corporation, practicing primarily in the areas of venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and relationships, tax and business strategy, and general corporate law. He has been recognized by Chambers & Partners, USA, for his Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions practice, and he has been selected by his peers again to be included in The Best Lawyers in America, 2007 Edition, in the areas of Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Prior to his membership in the Belin Law Firm, Mr. Krambeck was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Kirke-Van Orsdel, Incorporated, from 1991 until it was acquired in 1998 by Seabury & Smith, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of March & McLennan Companies, Inc. From 1968-1991, Mr. Krambeck was Partner and Shareholder at the Des Moines law firm of Ahlers, Cooney, Dorweiler, Haynie, Smith & Albee. He started his career as a Judge Advocate for the United States Air Force. Mr. Krambeck holds a B.A. from the University of Iowa and is a graduate from the University of Michigan, School of Law.
Mr. Krambeck is active in the community, currently serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Des Moines Civic Center and as the Iowa State Bar Association Chair, Corporate Counsel Section. He is a member of Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Des Moines. He is the Founding Director of the Convalescent Home for Children Foundation. Mr. Krambeck has served on the Board of Trustees Executive Committee of the Greater Des Moines Sports Authority, and he has been a past president of Convalescent Home for Children, Soccer West Soccer Club, and Roosevelt High School Parent/Booster Club. |
